Footprints for Peace Walkers Walk from Brunswick to Byron

Last Week the Footprints for Peace Walk from Brisbane to Canberra came through Byron Shire.

The Peace Walk is raising awareness of renewable energy as well as pointing out the terrible dangers of nuclear energy and armaments

Locals had organised events at Byron Bay and Brunswick.

After an address by Athol Crompton a local Midginbil elder the walkers set off along the beach to Byron Bay.
The walkers are carrying a message stick to be handed to the Prime Minister in Canberra on the 25th of May
