Jeff Johnson and Lee Rhiannon launch the Greens federal campaign for page Page

The Greens launched their campaign for the Federal seat of Page on Friday. Greens candidate for Page, Jeff Johnson and Greens NSW Senate candidate Lee Rhiannon, launched the campaign at Lismore railway station.

Jeff stressed the need for urgent action on climate change, transport and public health.

The Lismore railway station was chosen as the first call of the day as it is a testament to the potential for rail transport in the Northern Rivers Region and the Gold Coast.

Lee Rhiannon noted that here is a railway station where no trains have run for five  years. This is a testament to the failure of the policies of the Labor and conservative parties in this state.
Jeff Johnson stressed the need for urgent action on climate change. The Greens are the only party prepared to tackle it effectively.

The campaign opening then went to Tuki and then on to Ballina Hospital where Jeff and Lee talked about the  urgent need for effective health policies.
