Young Musicians Display Dazzling Talent at Sounds Unlimited Brunswick Heads

Young musicians turned on a dazzling display of talent at the Soundshell in Terrace Park at Byron Ballina Greens 'Sounds Unlimited' Youth Week celebrations last Saturday 5th of April 2008.

Eight bands featuring students from Mullumbimby, Shearwater, & Byron Bay High Schools played a mix of covers, and original compositions, ranging from mellow blues, rock, pop and funky beats to head banging punk.

Brimming with confidence, the teenagers rocked the Soundshell with some impressive guitar playing and feisty drummers. They wrote songs about binge drinking and dealing with the boss, parents, partying and relationships and produced music pulsating with energy and vitality.

An appreciative audience braved the stormy night and danced beneath the stars.
We've got lots of talented capable kids with heaps of potential" said one proud parent, "They just need the opportunity to show us what they can do."
