The residents of Byron Shire have given Jan Barham a massive vote of confidence by returning her as Mayor.
As of the declaration of the Poll, and distribution of preferences Jan gained a total of 7973 votes. She has won in all the booths across the Shire and a remarkable 51% of the15918 formal votes counted.

How wonderful to know that this community does understand and appreciate the hard work and good decision-making done by Jan as well as Richard and Tom over the past four years. The next four years will be so exciting.



At the declaration of the poll on Saturday four Greens have been declared elected.

The Byron Shire now council has  4 greens 2 progressives and 3 conservatives.
