Maggie Luke: Greens do Support business
Greens do support business people and always have.
They are a large part of the community and most vote progressive. I have a
business very dependent on tourism and tourists are drawn to this place
because of its green ethics.
As a business person and a member of Byron United I am totally shocked at their anything but
uniting behaviour in the lead up to the Council Election.
Their survey had Rene Thalmann at the top of their list from Ocean
Shores, who is he? How come in all my work and participation in
the shire for 11 years that I have not even heard of Thalmann?
At the bottom of B U 's list is John Lazarus, who you have all heard of
because of all his hard work in the community.
So what CHANGE does Thalmann want? Change for the worse, big
development, mega festivals, holiday lets everywhere?
Tardif who represents the labor party this time (who will admit to
voting for him?) said this morning on ABC radio that he has preferenced
Tucker for Mayor ahead of Jan Barham on PERFORMANCE!
Ross Tucker's performance includes voting AGAINST--Aboriginal ILUA
Support, Climate Change Strategic Action, Biodiversity Conservation, A
Youth Development Officer, Tourism Management Plan, Affordable Housing,
Long Term Financial Strategy--need I go on? For each of these issues
Jan Barham voted YES.
