Live Better With Less

Live Better With Less

Live better with less, says local author.

Mullumbimby man, and Greens candidate for Richmond, Giovanni Ebono, released his latest book, Sydney's Guide to Saving the Planet at Byron Bay on Saturday, July 28th. With a foreword by Professor Ian Lowe AO, the book shows people how to live better with less.

“The mistake made by TV shows like Carbon Cops and other books of tips for saving the planet, is they show us what to switch off but not how to 'turn on',” Ebono said. The book is published by Woodslane Press in conjunction with the Sydney Morning Herald.

The good news as presented in Ebono's latest work is that we can enjoy life more by cutting up the credit card, switching off the TV and getting to know the neighbours.

“The happiest people in the world do not have credit cards, global communications devices or gourmet food in tins,” Ebono said, “It sounds retro, but it's the shape of the sustainable future.”

The book contains 101 tips, and six major articles. In his the foreword, Professor Ian Lowe writes, “The future is not somewhere we are going, it is something we are creating.”

Create the future you want, live life to the full, save the planet.
