Railway needs Green Magic

Bangalow railway station was the backdrop to a magical scene on Sunday, where Mandrake the Magician (Giovanni Ebono ) attempted to conjure a railway out of thin air! "We need more magic, we need a guarantee from our elected federal representatives that they will work with the State government to fix this track" Giovanni Ebono Greens candidate for Richmond said today. "The residents of Dunoon are the latest victims of extreme weather caused by global warming. By spending billions on freeways and nothing on rail, our governments are directly responsible for accelerating Global Warming." Mr Ebono said.

We need local transport networks so we can burn less oil. We need our railway back. Government candidates have made all sorts of promises, but delivered ... nothing.

On Wednesday at 10-30 at Ocean Shores shopping centre, Justine Elliot will receive hundreds of letters co-ordinated by Trains on our Tracks (TOOT).  Mr Ebono said,"People who have voted Labor all their lives are considering voting one The Greens, to send a clear message to Canberra. We  need real action on climate change. We need this railway open."

Mr Ebono continued, "It will only take 8,000 Labor voters to vote one Green two Labor and I am off to Canberra." The Greens pulled 11000 votes in the last election. An extra 8000 votes drifting from Labor to the Greens would see the seat of Richmond decided on preferences.
