Sustainable House Day in Mullumbimby a Great Success

On Sunday 9th of September local Mullumbimby resident Nina Bishop opened her house to the public, as part of Sustainable house day, (a nation wide day to demonstrate the viability and comfort of sustainable solar energy house design). Sustainable House Day was organised by ANZSES The Australian and New Zealand Solar Energy Society. ANZSES is dedicated to promoting the use of solar energy as well as water saving/recycling and the use of all types of renewable energy.

Sustainable House day offers the community the opportunity  to visit and see in detail how solar/energy-efficient homes can provide both energy savings and economic benefits as well as being wonderful places to live.

Nina's mud brick home with its flowing curves of carved mudbricks  felt a warm and comfortable place to live in.
