Greens Select candidate for the seat of Richmond

The Greens have selected Giovanni Ebono from Mullumbimby as their candidate for the Federal seat of Richmond in the upcoming 2007 Federal election.

Giovanni Ebono's pre-selection was announced on Thursday the 14th of June at the local greens monthly meeting.

Three North Coast Greens local groups (Byron-ballina ,Tweed, and Northern-rivers)  took part in the pre-selection  process.
Giovanni said he was excited to be selected to represent The Greens in the  federal electorate of Richmond.  "I think the people of this electorate are disappointed with the major parties, especially, with the Iraq war and telecommunications. I think we have a good chance to give the major parties a big scare and a run for their money."

"We will be out there campaigning and covering every booth and look forward to a great result." he said.
