Battle of the Bands for Brunswick Heads

Sounds Unlimited will feature young musicians and their bands at The Soundshell in Terrace Park on Saturday 5 April.
We now have 10 bands and start at 4pm instead of the advertised 6pm
It's not a 'Band' competition but we are thinking of offering a couple of hours recording time to the favourite/best band on the night!

The event will finish no later than 10pm (post daylight savings!) We do not intend to widely advertise or promote it – it will be a local Byron Shire event showcasing the musical talents of our kids as part of the Youth Week celebrations.
(Saturday, 5th is also market Saturday in Bruns!)

The Soundshell is a great venue, the kids don’t feel locked in and can move around freely – and it’s virtually indestructible.
I have mentioned the idea to Colin Woodbry who manages our Crown Reserve Parks for Dept. of Lands – we no longer have to seek BSC permission for events so I’m not exactly sure whether he’ll make me put in DA etc! There are usually no costs associated with the Soundshell.
 
Byron Ballina Greens have agreed to host the event and provide the Insurance and Giovanni Ebono has offered to be the contact person for the bands.
I have tentatively booked Sound Engineer, Mario Cimino who will manage the mixing desk.
We want the bands to use the same set up which they can all plug into and avoid individual bands spending lots of time setting up!
